The Tysons Corner MALL is the mecca. That Galleria (I worked in a building that attached to it) was useless. They wanted it to be so high end (anchors were Macys (when it was tony), Niemans and Saks) but it was too ritzy to get any stores to set up shop. And basically people only came to eat or hit Macys. I am not surprised it tanked. I AM surprised it took this long.


i never did enjoy malls after the high school phase. do i remember a sudden growth in the number of malls in the 80s? i wonder if there are too many. guess it'll be like mass starvation with herd animals. we don't lose a few; we lose them all.
