I just want to put this out there for all of you in Pittsburgh who are trying to find a photographer for your wedding. Do not get fooled like I did. TSI-aka JOHN COMA had a great package. The price was good and the service on the day of the wedding was good, however it is 2 years from my wedding and I still do not have my album, mother-in-law album, and video. We received the video for the first time on our 1 year anniversary. It was skipping, parts were missing, and it was scratched. I have picked out the album but don't have it. I have been in constant contact with him and so has my attorney with no luck. I have recently emailed him and called him several times. He has not returned my phone calls or email.
My advice: find someone else
good luck

Wedding Date 4/16/06
We used John Coma for our wedding in 4/06 and we had the same problem. He did a great job with the pictues but it took almost a year to get them after calling and e-mailing him everyday. I got a wedding album, 3 parent albums and a framed 8 X 10. We finally got the albums clsoe to a year later but he just sent me the frame with no picture in it and that was only after I called and called and called. I would think twice before you use him.

My daughter got married September 16, 2007 and we paid John Comas in full for the photos and to this day 6/10/2009 have not received our 3 albums. The photos taken was not exceptional by far and my family was not very pleased. I would not recommend John Comas to anyone in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas unless you enjoy giving your money away for nothing in return. John is going to see his day in court very soon!

I used John Coma's services for our wedding on August 5, 2006. Pathetic, to say the least. I have no idea what the photographer (I was under the impression he was coming to do the photos, as he had not said anything else about sending someone else) did during the reception. He was nowhere to be found during the reception. He did not stick to their checklist of pictures to get. He did not take pictures of my husband's family together. He did not take pictures of the families together (mine and my husband's). Most of the pictures he took had the people blurry but the people clear. He did not take pictures of a lot--he took many pictures of the same thing. John Coma is not ammenable to talking about this. He will not return phone calls or e-mails. His services are pathetic and definitely use someone else. I can't get any of those memories back, because John Coma's photographer was no where to be found. Oh, I did find him at the cookie table, and he was irritated that I made him move to take some pictures. Ridiculous.

I used John Coma for my June 2007 wedding! We did get our proofs 2 months later(after I called several times asking for them at least 3 times a week!!). He said to give him what we wanted for our albums by mid/late september to get them for Christmas which we did! It is now almost August 2008 and we have yet to recieve our albums!! DO NOT USE HIM!! WE HAVE CALLED AND LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES AND HAVE RECEIVED NO ANSWERS AT ALL!

One of the biggest mistakes of my wedding (the only one) was hiring John Coma's photography business. The photographer disappeared during the reception. I am so glad we put one use cameras on the tables, or we'd have had no pictures from the reception. The photographer did not take any family pictures. he did not take any pictures of my and my husband's family. I had to be forceful when telling him to follow me during the reception. I did see him at the bar, though. Also, John Coma promised to get the wedding picture CDs to me before my husband left for Iraq. That did not happen. I am so angry about my almost non-existant wedding and reception photos, I have yet to be able to contact this "business" to tell him exactly what I think. I did not want to put any more money into his business, so I did not order an album. I hope he is embarrassed. I have had family members pass away since the wedding, and I will never get that day back. John guaranteed me family pictures. I don't have any pictures of my family with my husband. Pathetic.

Same story here with John Coma. He phoographed our wedding 11/18/06 and we JUST got our album after months and months of phone calls and e-mails, and are still waiting on parent albums, prints, and our ENGAGEMENT pictures. He has now changed phone numbers so you cannot get a hold of him.
Whatever you do - DO NOT USE TSI PHOTOGRAPHY.

Does anyone have a good phone number and email address for John Coma as he shot our wedding in 2003 and I still only have proofs. I called him in Feb. 2008 and he assured me he would be sending the cd of all of our photos which was fine with me, but he never sent them and now it is April 2008. I have tried calling and he never answers his phone and his voicemail is always full. The number I used in the past now gives a recording that is not a good number. I need a phone number, email and physical address for him if anyone can provide them. I'd really appreciate it. He really needs to step up and deliver on the services he contracted to provide especially since he gets paid in advance!

I used him for my June 24, 2006 wedding and have been emailing him for months asking where my albums are. Does anyone know how else to get a hold of him?

TSI Photography antics continue
We booked TSI and John Coma's services for a wedding in May 2008. We paid a deposit check that was cashed. On seeing these emails we telephoned and emailed Coma - no success. He's disappeared but still cashing checks. Beware - do not fall into his trap.

I used TSI Photography for my June 10, 2006 wedding. It took over 1 year and several dozen phone calls before I received anything. I did receive my albums and they were nice but it Took FOREVER! However, my wedding video he lost and blamed it on the videographer. He then told me he would re-edit it and get it to me ASAP. That took about a month. I was so disgusted that when I actually did watch my video (and this is my fault for the delay) it wasn't even my wedding! I have no idea whose wedding it is and now I am fighting for my video or the money back. I called the BBB on him but that still didn't prompt him to move any faster. DO NOT USE THIS PHOTOGRAPHER. He blames his lack of correspondence to "booking too many weddings". His price was right but the time it takes to get anything from him isn't worth it.

i too would like to add that my wife and i are absolutely disappointed in the photographer that sat across the table from us and lied to us about his abilities. He had all the right things to say and show, but when we received our proofs he and his assistant were busted. they forgot to take photos of us cutting the cake, he failed to take a picture of me with my brother, the best man..... and now 18 months later we still have not received our album, and he refuses to call us back. I am writing this letter for my wife and you future brides. The man can not tell the truth and he will/ can not deliver.

I would like to say that TSI and Jon Coma are complete frauds. My wedding was in July of 2007 and it took Mr. Coma four months to send us our proofs. He said that he sent them weeks earlier, but they must have got lost in the mail...likely excuse. We have sent him our pictures we would like to have in our albums, but still have no albums and have not heard a word from Mr. Coma. I have e-mailed him numerous times, called him..always getting a full mailbox and even paged him, but have gotten know response. I am currently looking into taking Mr. Coma to court and was wondering if anyone else has had to go to this level with him or has any suggestions. If you would like to contact me.. you can do so at steelers24sw@hotmail.com

I would like to support the earlier comments on this thread concerning John Coma of TCI Photography. My wife and I were married in August of 2006. We sent John our album selections and video music a few months later in April of 2007. Now it's Feb 2008, nearly a year later, and we have not received anything from him. We have called, emailed, filed with the better business bureau, called channel 4 news "call 4 action" and he doesn't reply to anyone. After a few dozen calls and emails, out of the blue he surprisingly answered us and promised our stuff by October. October came and went and still no albums or video. So back to calling and emailing and calling and calling and then we finally got a reply to our email in December. This time, John promised our stuff by Jan 18th of 2008. It's now Feb 13th, 2008 and still no photo album or video. I am tired of chasing this guy down. I am going to the district magistrate and filing a law suit. Until then, tell everyone you know to avoid John Coma of TCI. He is very unprofessional, has a pathetic sense of customer service, is very unreliable, lies or makes false promises, and never returns calls. Trust me, we paid him over $3,000 of our hard earned money to have him photograph one of the most important moments in our life and he treats us with absolutely no respect at all. I have no idea how TCI stays in business. The word has got to get out about this guy before he ruins another couple's wedding day. If anyone is interested in a class action law suit, let me know by replying to this post.

We hired TSI for my daughter's wedding in early summer of 2007. John Coma has only given us the unedited photos on a CD which takes about 10 minutes to prepare. He has not provided the wedding video, 3 albums, framed 16 X 20 portrait, 20 sheets of prints, will not return phone calls, and will not reply to e-mail. We paid $3000 to this unethical shyster and I know I will have to take it to another level if he does not do something soon. I would call it square if he would give me back ~$2500.

I too used John Coma TSI photography for my July 22, 2006 wedding. I didn't recieve my albumn until christmas eve and thats after we called numerous times asking for it. I recieved the video that night as well, but the video was horrible all you could hear was the man video taping it chewing something and moving around they missed our cake cutting (but he is in pictures other people took standing there with the camera) Jan.19 I sent him a email asking for a new video he said he would work on it and get it back to me. I waited several months never heard anything from him. Fianlly, in the beginning of april I emailed him asking about it, he sent me a email back saying to let him know what I needed fixed and he would get on it. I sent him the email from Jan. showing him he knew then whan needed fixed. then the ignoring game started he wouldnt' respond to emails finally on man 29th I sent him a email asking if he was avoiding me where was my product he has been paid in full for a year before the wedding he emailed me back saying he was forwarding my email to the man who does the videos they hoped they could get it rectified ASAP I have since sent him at least 6 emails he has not applied to one. The Photo albumn wasn't what it was suppose to be either, I sent him the pictures I wanted set them up how I wanted them and he sent it back completely wrong, I have pretty much the same 4 pictures or more on EVERY page! I am also looking into gettin an attorney involved. If he can't handle the work he shouldn't accept the job. Somebody's wedding is a once in a lifetime thats why people spend so much money to preserve these memories. I highly recomment people stay AWAY from JOHN COMA he is a fraud!

We too used John Coma and TSI photography for our wedding photographer on July 29, 2006. It has been almost a year and we still have not received our album. He subcontracts the actual album making out so he isn't in control of the process. The few times we have been able to get ahold of him, he says he doesn't know the latest status and he didn't return our calls because he didn't have any new information. This is an unacceptable business practice IMO and I would absolutely recommend that nobody use him for any photography needs ever.

I would also like to advise people not to book their wedding with John Coma. Our wedding was on 10/8/05 and I still have not received my album, either. John has failed to return my phone calls as well and has not responded to any of my emails. I have also got an attorney involved recently.
