We met with Yes We Cater during our reception planning and we did not choose them - I was completely unimpressed by them and thought I should share my experience. Maybe we caught them at a busy time and our experience is not representative of how they normally are. We drove all the way out to their office in Monroeville and talked with one of the owners for about 2 hours about the type of food we wanted at the wedding (we wanted all vegetarian food) - I noticed that the owner was not taking any notes on what we would want and since it was such a long meeting I was wondering how he was committing everything to memory! He promised to talk with their chef and send us a full list of menu options with pricing by the following Friday. At the end of that Friday we did receive an email - but it was so disappointing. He sent us a small list of a few things without any pricing and it was clear that he had not remembered anything we talked about at the meeting. It was almost as if he hadn't met with us! We called him and left a voice mail that we were confused by his email and that we thought it would be easier to create a list of what we wanted and have him provide pricing for it. We never received a reply to our email or our voice mail. We had shared our budget limitations with him at the meeting and I wondered if between the meeting and when he sent his email if he had decided that we weren't 'worth it'. Overall I was very disappointed with our experience and surprised because I had heard good things about them.

I hired Yes We Cater for my wedding. I was referred by a friend & a third friend also used them. Aside from billing issues from the 3 of us (married at separate times) the food & service was good. Funny enough, they were voted #1 caterer on the knot, but i can't find them anywhere. Oh yeah, and...I designed a lolli cake that they took credit for in whirl, went behind my back for pictures from my photographer & are using a picture of my husband and I in their ads. Did i give permission....no. They are scumbags who are only out to make a buck for themselves. (and an extra few when they can get away with it. Last thing to share is that their famous vegetable lasagna is from Sams club. That's the box that they put your leftovers in.

my response:
"John,
Thanks for your note. I allow people to post their own opinions on the blog, always attributed to themselves. I'm also happy to post your response, if you'd like to write one, on the blog, as counter information. If there is anything slanderous or defamatory, you'd need to take that up with the author of the post, as I'm not in a position to arbitrate facts (that is, to prove defamation or slander, you'd need to prove that the statements made are not true, and I'm not in a position to determine their factuality).
If you'd like to submit a post, I'd be happy to post it and attribute it to you, so that readers of the blog can make their own judgments. In the meantime, I will post a note that the vendor has contested the truthfulness of the statements in the post, so that readers can be aware of your concerns.
Thanks again,
Lisa"
